David J. Muskera, M.A. is a licensed psychologist who received his degrees from Marshall University. With over 35 years treatment experience in mental health, he works with families, couples and individuals.  His special interests are obsessive-compulsive conditions, depressions, anxiety disorders and sexual orientation concerns. He is trained in cognitive approaches to problem solving.  These approaches focus on the relationship between how we think about ourselves (and our world) and how we feel and act.  He believes we each have within ourselves answers to our own life problems and that counseling/therapy is mostly about self-discovery.  He thinks of himself as a life-coach and someone to help in that discovery.  He sees clients from early adulthood through the lifespan and ageing.

I am a WV Medicaid service provider and can accept many forms of private and company health insurance. Private pay rates can also be arranged. Occasional evening and weekend appointments can be arranged.

Initial contact can be made at (304) 522-9089.  I see clients at one of two locations.....Both in Huntington. Both easy to find.   After an initial telephone assessment, the client can be given an appointment at either of the two locations.  If they get my answering machine, please just leave a message and a phone number for a return call.  All information is kept sticky confidential.
